Each year we present a spring production as an exhibition of what the students have learned during the past year. This production demonstrates the advancement of skills as well as provides an excellent opportunity to display the talents of young area performers. The idea of a recital provides a child with a goal to strive for and a reason to master dance.
Each year, those wishing to participate, must purchase a costume from a dance catalog selected by Miss Janet. These costumes vary in price any where from $45.00 to $70.00. Most classes receive one costume that can be worn for both routines presented in the recital. Older students will sometimes need more than one costume.
Costumes for our spring production must be paid for during our open door week in the fall! No costume will be ordered without payment, and no refunds are given after the order is placed. Once we have ordered your child’s costume we expect her to participate in the program. Commitment is important since dance is a team effort by all students in the class. Any student missing more than 6 classes during the 2nd semester will not be allowed to participate in the spring show- even if the costume has been purchased. Attending class is important and it is not fair to those students attending each week to let those not coming on a regular basis perform in the recital.
In our Fulton studio, a recital fee is charged, allowing you to invite as many family and friends as you would like without having to purchase tickets.
A fund-raising program is offered each fall to those who are interested. This gives everyone the opportunity to defer some of the costume cost. The fund raising program is optional.
