Dance Company
Being a member of the Audrain County Dance Company, J'ettes or Pre-team represents the highest level of commitment and responsibility and therefore offers the greatest rewards. Dancers 5th through 12th grades are accepted by audition only for these performing troupes at our Mexico studio. Talent is obviously a consideration when choosing these dancers, but equally important is the willingness of the dancer to work hard and put dance above all other extracurricular activities. Since being formed, the dance companies have represented Janet's Dance Studio astoundingly at area events, half-time shows, and competitions. Members have won many awards, including overall best routines, at various competitions in the St. Louis area, as well as performed on a Carnival Cruise ship, on different stages in Branson, MO, and in Florida at Walt Disney World.
Understanding the dynamics of the teamwork and sacrifice are key ingredients for being part of the dance teams at Janet's Dance Studio. The teams are by audition only and are divided into the following groups:
Senior Audrain County Dance Company - Grades 9-12
Junior Audrain County Dance Company - Grades 8-12
J'ettes - Grades 6-8
Pre-team - Grades 5-7
