Explore the joy of movement with your little one and discover the many benefits of early childhood dance classes. We will dance, sing, and play in both one-on-one activities and group activities. Through circle songs, open exploration, and gross motor development exercises, children will blossom with each passing class as they grown with their caregiver during this precious time together.
Discover Dance 1 – Independent Ages 3 & 4 (5 weeks)

Discover the magic of imaginative play with live singing, dancing and structured exploration and skill development. Our Discover Dance 1 class offers an outlet for creative expression, physical growth and social interaction. Children will explore the essence of movement that will lead to the discovery of multiple styles of dance.
Turns, Leap & Jumps - Grades 4th & 5th

Thursdays 6:30 to 7:30 April 16 to May 14 (5 weeks)
If you are wanting to polish and perfect your dance skills this class is for you. Spin better, jump higher, and leap longer. Warm-ups, technique and progressions will help you gain strength and flexibility as you continue to work on basic skills that are used in dance class.
Under The Sea – Ages 3 & 4 (6 weeks)

Dive into a magical ocean adventure with our Under the Sea Dance Class for ages 3 & 4. In this playful, imagination-filled class, little dancers will twirl like starfish, glide like graceful sea turtles, and bounce like happy dolphins as they build foundational dance skills.
Me & My Teddy Bear – Ages 5 & 6 (6 weeks)

A combination class of ballet that includes lovely stuffed teddy bear you will get to take home at the end of the session. Simple skills of ballet including positions, poses and across the floor progressions. This class will build body awareness, balance and basic ballet skills. A great class for those who enjoy movement and teddy bears.
Frozen Dance Classes

Step into a magical winter world inspired by Disney Frozen! In thies fun and imaginative dance class, young dancers will twirl, jump and sparkle while dancing to songs from Frozen like “Let It Go.” Children will learn basic dance steps, build confidence, and explore their creativity while pretending to dance like their favorite characters - Elsa, Anna, and Olaf. Join us and let your little star shine on the dance floor.
Pop Stars Dance for grades 2nd & 3rd

Get ready to shine in our Jazz class as we dance like pop stars! In this high-energy class for 2nd and 3rd graders, dancers will learn fun jazz moves, and exciting combinations inspired by their favorite pop-style performances. Dancers will build confidence, teamwork, and stage presence while moving to upbeat music that makes everyone want to groove. Grab your sparkle and superstar attitude—it’s time to dance like a pop star
KPop Deamon Hunters for grades 3rd to 5th

Our 3rd-5th grade jazz class is bringing high energy and fierce fun to the stage witha a routine inspired by KPop Demon Hunters! Throughout the class, students will build strength, flexibility, and confidence while learning stylized choreography and jazz fundamentals. With upbeat music this class encourages dancers to shine like true pop heroes while having a blast in a supportive and exciting environment.
Acro 101

This class is for beginner students who are interested in learning the basic skills of acrobatics. They will build strength, flexibility and body awareness as they learn skills such as bridges, headstands, rolls and cartwheels.
Acro Pre Juniors (6 weeks)

This class is the next step after Acro 101 and will build on skills already learned. Students will progress from the basics of acro into more advanced skills. Each class will include warmups, stretching, strengthening and progressions across the acro mat. This class will help students gain control of their movement so they can advance to the next level.
Foundations for Back Handsprings (6 weeks)

Mondays 6:30 to 7:30, April 6 to May 11
Everyone student aspires to do a back handspring, but they don’t always have the skills needed to prepare for it. Jumping into a back handspring without knowledge of the proper technique can lead to injury. We want our students to progress knowing the correct way to accomplish the back handspring. This class will outline what needs to happen before attempting the skill. The focus will be on strength, flexibility and of course, acro skills across the mat.

Our dance teams are educational and fun. Our movements are meant to be clean, unified, precise, and visual, emphasizing the look of the team as a unit. It is also very challenging and physically demanding. Participation in our teams is a PRIVILEGE and not a right.
Students must meet specific requirements to be selected to a team. Dancers will agree to the information provided and failure to follow will result in possible dismissal from the team. Being on our dance team is fun, but it is also a huge commitment which requires hard work and long hours.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
Being on the dance team is also a financial commitment as there are many costs for tuition, costumes and dancewear.
· Tuition for spring workshop = PreTeam & J’ettes = $225.00
o Jr & Sr ACDC = $260.00
Tuition for June classes = $225.00
· Tuition for July Intensive = $180.00
· Tuition for Fall / Winter
Jr & Sr ACDC = $750.00 (4 hours a week)
J’ettes =$700.00 (3 hours a week)
PreTeam = $425.00 (1.5 hours a week)
· Costumes (Estimated) = $400.00
· If payments are not made and deadlines are not met, you unfortunately will not be able to participate and be a member of the team. NO EXCEPTIONS!
· There are fundraisers to help with tuition & costumes.
MANDATORY SPRING WORKSHOP
This workshop is to help build strong technique for our dancers. Repetition is key to success in any activity, and we are hoping to develop strong skills in the spring and summer so when fall classes start dancers will be more prepared.
For those wanting to audition for PreTeam and / or J’ettes (going into grades 4th – 7th next fall)
Tuesday April 7, 14, 21, 28 & May 5, 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
For those wanting to audition for Jr and / or Sr ACDC (going into grades 7th – 12th next fall)
Monday April 6, 13, 20, 27 & May 4, 6:00 to 8:30 pm (Ballet w/Janet, Jazz w/Tori)
Tuesday April 7, 14, 21, 28 & May 5, 6:00 to 7:30 pm (Tap w/ Tori)
AUDITIONS
Auditions will be held for the Junior & Senior Audrain County Dance Company (Going into grades 7-12) on Monday, May 11, 6:00 to 8:30 at the studio.
Dancers will arrive between 5:30 & 6:00pm with both jazz and tap shoes. Combinations will be taught and then performed in front of judges during this time. Results will be posted later that evening in the front window of the old studio. They will remain posted all week.
Auditions will be held for the PreTeam & J’ettes (Going into grades 4-8) on Tuesday, May 12, 6:00 to 8:30 at the studio.

If you try out for Jr ACDC and do not make it you are welcome to try out for J’ettes that following night.
How many girls will make the team? There is no specific pre-determined number of members for the team. Membership depends on the ability and potential of each girl decided by the judges. It is inevitable that some people who tryout will probably not make the team. Should you not make it, I strongly encourage you to continue practicing and try again next year!

June & July classes are required. Obviously, some students will miss occasionally due to camps or vacations but we expect you to attend as much as possible.
